Skooling, Again

by barffie

Like many people out there, I wasn’t born with a silver spoon… and my parents couldn’t afford to send me to University… which is fine. Seriously, it’s ok!

However, just working up the appetite to go for night classes, sometimes is just very sian lah.

Rushing off from work and then trying to get to class on time… probably missing dinner here and there… that doesn’t sound very appealing indeed.

And then trying to fish myself some good team mates out of a pool of strangers, when it comes to group assignments – how do I know who is a hard-worker (like me haha shameless) and who isn’t? I’m not a mind-reader nor do I “see” people very well, due to the fact that I am quite the blurtoot and quite walled-up most of the times, so… how do you know who to team up with?

*headache*

But I am still looking forward to start learning new stuff again. Scrawling notes on my notebook, only to never refer to them again and doodling when the classes get dry… I think I’d like that.

My trick to not falling asleep in class is to always talk to the lecturer. If he asks the class something, just try to answer it, even if you don’t have the full answer. It might lead to a lively discussion, and frankly speaking… being corrected by someone else means that you will absorb that piece of information a little better.

So that is my strategy… what’s yours?
