Alexander McQueen.

I’ve never really noticed his shoes or his bags, until Lady Gaga burst into the scene with her Bad Romance music video (which, by the way, is definitely a cult classic-to-be).

I’ve always noticed his intriguing details and cutting for his haute couture stuff. The eye-catching and the odd detailing; the beautiful drapes and tucks; the unique silhouettes on the female body…
His works were truly one-of-a-kind.

I mean, who could make lace so thoroughly avant garde, chic and wearable all at the same time?
And then he’s gone, just like that. Before I could barely afford a single piece of his fantastical creations… and he’s gone…
He is about the only (current era) designer that I paid attention to, and I mourn the loss of such an immensely talented individual.
Rest now…
