apparently, the diy ones only keep out uv, they do not exactly keep out sunlight. better also check whether it’s hdb approved in case you have issues with the town council. i had to buy a more expensive tint film because my mgmt corporation said not dark enough.. -.-”

yah, you better call hdb/town council and check first, otherwise $ wasted. i used illumar window films. it’s ex but it’s heat reflection is damn fantastic.

eh babe, the window tint from the diy stores aren’t that great leh. which was why i eventually paid S$1K to get the professional window tint installers to do it. there’s a difference between the diy tint films and the professional ones. apparently, the diy ones only keep out uv, they do not exactly keep out sunlight. better also check whether it’s hdb approved in case you have issues with the town council. i had to buy a more expensive tint film because my mgmt corporation said not dark enough.. -.-”
