The Canon EOS 500D.
Yes it’s drool time. I got invited to a blogger’s event held by Canon and Ogilvy (waaaay back in April)… and despite swooning over the consumer digital cameras, but deep down… I was in love with the 500D. *sigh*

I know my pockets aren’t deep enough for a purchase like this, especially when I was looking out for 2nd-hand 450Ds online.
But it’s like the 5D Mark II without the price-tag, and a lighter body which is better for my limp wrists, isn’t it?
Picture-quality aside, it even features Full HD video recording (1080p) capability, videos are in QuickTime (.mov) format, which can be easily transferred to the Final Cut Pro for editing! Oh man. How can I resist that sort of upgrade?
Also, the camera comes with a Live-View function, meaning that I don’t have to sprawl on the floor, sticking my eye on the viewfinder and trying very hard to get a shot of Latte snoozing…
Ah. I can only slowly save up for it. And hope that I will be able to finally pay off my reno loan this year (just a couple grand more to go) and I guess things will work out for me!

Unlike the Sony ? 300 and ? 3500, the Canon 500D lacks an articulable LCD screen, so you’ll have to sprawl on the floor.
